The "File Not Found" message might appear in your preview window due to the following reasons:

  1. Missing Content: This occurs when the background picture or layer file has been renamed, moved, or deleted. If content is pulled from removable media (like USB sticks, network drives, CDs, cameras, or external hard drives) that are no longer attached or present, Fire Studio can't locate the files. It's advisable to copy content to the local machine before importing into Fire Studio. Here is a short video explaining this in detail: File Not Found Video

  2. Solution: Restoring the media to its original location under the same name should recover the files. They must be in the exact location (path) where they were when added to your custom library.

  3. Content Size: When background photos or layers exceed 1920x1080 resolution, they might trigger this error due to requiring more system resources than available. Some of the new phone cameras have resolutions over 8000 x 6000 pixels.

Solution: Resize the content using software like Paint.net, Photoshop, or similar tools down to 1920x1080, which is a common HD computer resolution. For lower-end computers, consider reducing to 1024x768. After resizing, rename and create an entirely new custom library for the images.

Note: If displaying simulations on an iPad, reduce backgrounds before exporting if the images are too large. Older iPads may have a maximum size of 1024.

Remember, resizing and organizing content appropriately can help avoid the "File Not Found" error and ensure smooth functioning within Fire Studio, especially concerning content availability and size compatibility.
